Cool Down Bar

Our aluminum Cool Down Bar was developed to keep the hood slightly open for ventilation after thermal stress or at events – functional in motorsports , stylish at any tuning meet . Its design is inspired by our strut braces , blending perfectly into the overall look.

The bar is placed between the hood and the lock carrier. Vehicles with a hood lock bar can hook it directly onto the bar. For vehicles without a bar, a silicone cover is included for the upper hook, allowing the hood to be easily placed on the bar. The lower support points are also covered with silicone to protect the paintwork.

Since many race cars don't have hood supports or have had them removed to save weight, the Cool Down Bar is the perfect solution for quickly leaving the hood slightly open after a run or a stint. This allows the heat to escape . It's also popular at tuning meets, as it allows the hood to remain slightly open , allowing the engine compartment to be visible without disrupting the overall appearance of the vehicle .

The Cool Down Bar can be ordered either in raw aluminum or in one of our powder coatings .
